Part of a portfolio of work on Digital Poverty funded by the British Academy, this report by Dr Hannah Holmes, Dr Katy Karampour, and Dr Gemma Burgess reviews existing knowledge on the topic digital exclusion. It highlights the key drivers of digital exclusion, considers who is likely to experience difficulties with getting online, and examines the impacts of digital exclusion. The report reveals that there are several challenges which must be overcome if digital exclusion is to be addressed, and makes a number of policy-facing recommendations to this end.
