Tackling the housing crisis through digital technologies and OSM

Our policy paper for the Bennett Institute of Public Policy at the University of Cambridge forms part of the series 'An Industrial Strategy for Tomorrow'.

The Bennett Institute for Public Policy works with leading researchers at the University of Cambridge and key decision-makers in government to take a deep dive into some of the dilemmas and challenges facing those tasked with designing and evaluating the UK's industrial strategy. This policy series aims to enrich and stimulate thinking and debate around the current industrial strategy. We were delighted to be asked to contribute with this paper.

The paper makes three suggestions for solving the UK's housing crisis: a shift away from conventional methods of construction, wider, more effective use of digital technologies, and a better understanding of the socio-economic inhibitors currently paralysing the sector.

The paper can be downloaded from the Bennett Institute's website.
