Digital technologies: presentation at 2019 Homes UK

Gemma Burgess gave a well-received presentation to those attending the 'Digital innovation in construction and asset management' session at the HOMES UK event in London.

HOMES UK is the UK's leading event for the residential accommodation sector in the UK, welcoming all those with an interest in homes and housing, from policymakers to suppliers.

Gemma's presentation shared CCHPR's research into the benefits and barriers to the adoption of digital innovation in the built environment, from BIM to modular housing, and emphasised the need to move the debate on to the ways in which digital innovation can bring about positive change.

Julia Valentine was also part of the panel, and her blog for Kreo talks in more depth about the need to move away from traditional building methods in order to make digital transformation inevitable.
