This study explored the use of different services in Cambridgeshire by people who are D/deaf. The research identified several gaps in knowledge about particular groups within the D/deaf community as well as gaps in services in Cambridgeshire.

The first phase of the project identified the following gaps in services and service use:

Rural isolation amongst people with hearing loss
Older people with hearing loss in care homes
Advocacy services for deaf people

The second phase of the research therefore concentrated on these three issues.
