Our report for the Centre for Science and Policy at the University of Cambridge sought to identify whether there were identifiable outcomes from the Centre's Policy Fellowship programme and whether these could contribute to impact case studies. Findings from this study will help CSaP to understand what the fellowship programme is achieving, and to plan for the future as the centre enters its second decade of operations.

The findings from this research project revealed a number of benefits resulting from interactions between academics and policy fellows through the Policy Fellowship scheme. These included contributions to policy, interdisciplinary and international collaborations, the generation of new data and new fora for data sharing, personal development, and the creation of networks. Case studies demonstrated impact in subjects as varied as sharing biological materials in an open access manner and climate resilience in buildings.
