Cambridge Centre for Housing & Planning Research

The Housing Green Paper was published in 2007. CCHPR was asked to prepare a response on behalf of the Joseph Rowntree Foundation.

This paper describes how increasing amounts of affordable housing have been provided through Section 106. It welcomes many of the proposals in the Green Paper. However, it also highlights the tensions that are building in the system which could result in the wrong types of houses in the wrong places and considers the implications for the future provision of affordable housing.
