Each year TSA published data in the form of a Rent factfile, a paper that compared actual net rents to target rents as at 31 March of two consecutive years. The Rent factfile was produced on behalf of TSA by Dataspring. This paper compares 31 March 2006 and 31 March 2007 and examines the extent to which actual rents have moved towards target rents. It also describes the annual change in gross rents for the period 1 April 2006 to 31 March 2007.

The Rent factfile for 2006-2007 differs from previous years in that for the first time the analysis includes 5 and 6+ bedroom sizes. In addition, as the threshold for associations required to complete the long version of the Regulatory Statistical Return (RSR) has been raised from 250 units to 1,000 the comparison this year is based on those associations with 1000+ units that completed the long RSR in both 2006 and 2007.
