Interviews with employers and staff representatives were undertaken to explore how far the problem could be resolved by the provision of designated key worker housing. The study found that many key workers do not wish to live close to their workplace, and others do not wish to live in specially designated ‘health service’ or ‘education’ housing, making it a difficult problem to address.
