West Oxfordshire Council commissioned CCHPR to validate projections of housing need in the selected local authority areas up to 2031, which was set out the Strategic Housing Market Assessment (SHMA).
For the validation, CCHPR re-projected housing needs, in each of the selected local authorities, the following three processes:
- Household projections based on demographic information
- The household projections were adjusted to meet job increases
- Added markup - estimating the number of concealed households who could become an independent household in case where local market conditions allow
