Cambridge Centre for Housing & Planning Research

The project focused on the East of England region, including the London Commuter Belt. As affordability worsened, local planning authorities were under increasing pressure to successfully secure affordable housing on S106 schemes. The study explored recent literature and policy, carried out stakeholder meetings and interviews with local planning authorities and stakeholders. The outputs were a research report plus a ‘good practice guide’ to aid local authorities in S106 affordable housing delivery.
