In line with previous studies conducted on behalf of MHCLG and its predecessors, the research will gather information across four core research areas: the current value and incidence of planning obligations, the relationship between CIL and S106, the effects of reforms on the existing system of developer contributions, and the negotiation process. CCHPR will lead on the local authority case study work package.
