Setting out the four main barriers to BIM implementation: structure, people, technology and task, the report called for research which adopts a qualitative approach. This will facilitate an understanding of the socio-economic and cultural inhibitors that lay beneath reluctance to adopt digital innovation throughout the UK construction industry.
