The research built up a picture of the impact on:

  • Household income
  • Outgoings (including food and energy costs)
  • Welfare benefits received
  • Patterns of work within the household
  • Caring responsibilities for children, household or other family members who are sick
  • Perceived need for services (including type of housing)
  • Attitudes to work, money, prospects, future housing choices

CCHPR provided consultancy input into the study, advising on study methodology, staff training and interpretation of results.
