The GLA wished to increase its understanding of the future scale, nature and range of older Londoners' housing requirements in all tenures through to 2036. This included considering health, ethnicity, disability and affordability-related issues, the relationship between supply and demand now, and how and why this might change over time. 

Findings would be used to put forward planning policy options to encourage a good match between requirements and supply while continuing to deliver mixed & sustainable communities, give priority to meeting affordable need and support independent living.
