Cambridge Centre for Housing & Planning Research

The RICS commissioned CCHPR to conduct a detailed investigation and make recommendations for action on some of the issues involved in the recent global financial turmoil and the linkages with the real estate profession.

Two areas had been identified where RICS had both a specific role to play and a particular responsibility to show leadership. These were: the operation and dynamics of the housing market, and the form and nature of regulation of the profession. The work involved two facilitated expert group discussions (round tables) bringing together key industry experts to provide their insights. CCHPR acted as rapporteur, attending the meetings and providing reports on each the capture the essence of the discussion and conclusions reached.
