It was the first in what has become a series of research projects into s106 and affordable housing, and like the others it was conducted jointly with the University of Sheffield’s Town and Regional Planning Department. The research methods included a national survey of local authorities, sixteen case studies and four regional stakeholder discussion meetings. The final outputs were published by JRF in 2002 and are available on their website.
