Peter Williams was Director of CCHPR for three years, from 2011 to 2013. He has had a long career in academia, government and industry. He has been Deputy Director General of the Council of Mortgage Lenders, Chairman of the National Housing and Planning Advice Unit and Board Member of the Housing Corporation and Professor of Housing at the University of Cardiff. His research interests are in housing finance and housing markets, housing policy and housing history. He has been a Visiting professor at the Universities of York and Bristol.
