The operation and dynamics of the housing market and the form and nature of regulation of the surveying profession

The RICS have commissioned this work from CCHPR to investigate in a detailed manner and make recommendations for action on some of the issues involved in the recent global financial turmoil and the linkages with the real estate profession.

Two areas have been identified where RICS have both a specific role to play and a particular responsibility to show leadership. These are: the operation and dynamics of the housing market and the form and nature of regulation of the profession. The work involves two facilitated expert group discussions (round tables) bringing together key industry experts to provide their insights. CCHPR will act as rapporteur, attending two meetings and providing reports on each the capture the essence of the discussion and conclusions reached.
